She was originally trained as an Engineer. While working at a garment factory, the contribution role of low wage intensive women workers in industry and their unmet needs in health, education and economy has become her interest. After a big loss in her personal life, Kathy has contributed her technical knowledge at the humanitarian related INGO. After the completion of Master’s degree in Social Sciences and Humanities, and a Certificate of Gender, Social Justice and Citizenship, she believes that social entrepreneurship is one possibility for the empowerment of women and girls. Kathy is currently completing her PhD on this topic.
