Dr. Alice Yuk, BBS, JP is the Chairman and one of the founders of Hong Kong General Chamber of Social Enterprises Ltd (HKGCSE). She is currently the CEO of Ebenezer School and Home for the Visually Impaired.
Dr. Yuk has been, for over ten years, the Chairman of UCNCHs (United Christian Nethersole Community Health Service) Management Committee. She acts as the Board member of a number of NGOs and schools as well as government advisory committees. She is now the Honorary Professor of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, and leader of SE legal framework development of Guicheng, China.
Dr. Yuk is an experienced social work expert, administrator and entrepreneur with over 30 years’ experience. She is committed to promote capacity building, development and empowerment of social services, engagement of cross-sector partners, and actively seeking to improve the well-being of deprived children, youth, women and families through new policy and enhancing competitiveness in Hong Kong. She sponsors students of Social Work Faculty of China Women’s University in Beijing on research and scholarship purposes for more than a decade; she promotes and provides advice on social work education, social service and SE development in China.
Dr. Yuk has received her education from Universities in Hong Kong, Beijing and Australia, in social work, psychology, theology, law, public administration, and business administration.
